Year 10

• Teachers will be setting homework for you to complete regularly in their subjects

• This homework is there to support your learning, and to help you achieve the best results you can in your GCSEs

• It is important for you to complete this homework to the best of your ability – it is there to enhance your abilities to achieve the highest grades

• You will hand your homework in to your teachers in your lesson, or complete and submit your homework online

• In addition to your homework, you should try to allocate additional time outside of school for revising your subjects to prepare for your GCSEs

• Spaced retrieval is more effective than cramming, and spreading it out over time makes it more manageable

• Homework tasks will be 45 – 1 hour 15 minutes in length

• Your subjects will set 1 homework task per week

The blocks refer to the options you have chosen for GCSE. You will have a personalised homework timetable in their school planner and printed on the front page of their core sheet booklet.
