School Meals
We believe that nutritious food can enhance learning
At Bridge Academy, we aim to provide healthy lunches that are value for money. With regular rotation of menus, Bridge students are offered a range of exciting meals.
School meals cost £3 from September 2024 and include a main course with vegetables and a choice of fruit or dessert. There is always a vegetarian option and on most days this is vegan - see the menu for details. Every Tuesday is 'meat free' with a choice of two vegan or vegetarian options.
We also offer jacket potatoes, a range of sandwiches and a selection of salads every day.
Menu choices may vary subject to demand and availability of produce.

Nut-Aware School
We have several pupils with severe nut allergies. To help keep everyone safe, The Bridge Academy Hackney operates a nut-aware environment.
We ask all families to:
- Avoid sending any food items containing nuts (including peanut butter, Nutella, chocolate bars with nuts, and similar products).
- Check ingredient labels carefully when preparing packed lunches.
- Remind your child not to share food with others.
Cashless top up
School meals are paid for by using the ParentPay online payment system to top up a student’s account.
The system is easy to use and allows the account to be topped up within 15 minutes.
Parents can also monitor their child’s account and see how funds have been spent.
If you wish to set up an account or for any assistance, please contact the school finance office.
